In order to prepare to sell your home, here are five tips that can help guide you and your pet through this big transition.
1. Always talk to your Veterinarian first. Selling a home can not only be stressful on you, it can also be stressful for your pets, especially if your animal is older.
2.Temporarily relocate your pet. Pets do not enjoy strangers walking through "their" home while their owners are away. This can also help keep your house clean and help reduce pet odor. In fact, some clients say it's a turnoff when looking at a potential home they are considering purchasing.
3.Repair any damages to increase the value of your home. Dogs and cats will inevitably destroy something including carpets, furniture, hardwood flooring, walls, doors, turf in your yard and even your fence. Be sure to repair these damages prior to listing your home.
4.Remove pet odors and stains. Pets have accidents. While it's possible to ignore the pet smell over time, new visitors will be sure ...
